1948 Oldsmobile

Well, here she is! This is my new 1948 Oldsmobile 66 Hydroglide. This car actually belonged to my grandparents, Horace and Mildred. It was the first car that they ever bought new. Before I cam along, the Olds sat on their farm unattended for the 30 years or so.

For nearly as long, I have been telling my uncle Gordon (who now owns the farm) that I wanted the Olds. In the summer of 2002 , I was forced to put my money where my mouth was when he called to tell me to come and get her, as he was considering selling the farm.

So one fine morning August last, my father in law and I hopped in his truck with the flatbed in tow and made the 2 and a half hour trek to pick up the olds.
